Modular dungeon doorway 4
The finished doorway under a harsh studio light, and the new floor piece too, with some older pieces for context.
In the second attempt to paint the doorway I didn't use the airbrush at all, and I still think I ended up with too much colour. Your brain has to do a bit of acrobatics to reconcile the warm glow of the fire and the dark shadow beneath the sconce with the cold grey stone elsewhere, which is visual shorthand for “dark unless there is a brazier or somebody passing by with a candle or something”.
