Apparently there are people who actually hated and feared Feathers McGraw as children. There could be more going on than the usual (penguin = cute, funny, strange), but I can’t help feeling the plot is just an edgeless rehash of The Ladykillers (1955). The level of craftsmanship and joyous visual pastiche are awesome in any case.
