The smaller venue, the shorter runtime, the constant smoking and the harsh but intimate treatment of difficult topics—in this case the experience of Weinstein’s victims, and their purported transactional acquiescence, compared to the experience of Americans descended from African slaves—continues the trend from “Dave Chappelle: Equanimity” (2017).
