Review of Deliverance (1972)

Moving picture, 109 minutes

Four modern men decide to make a rafting trip, roughing it down a remote river that is about to be “drowned” because of a hydroelectric dam project. They meet people.

Philosophical horror, looking at US civilization and isolation. Lots of charming symbolism, and terribly ugly special effects to simulate night and gore.
