Silly Symphonies (1929)
A series of animated shorts, set to music, often prominently so, often experimental and with few recurring characters, back when such a thing was possible at Disney.

‣ “The Skeleton Dance” (1929)
I wish the series had continued on this track.

‣ “Santa’s Workshop” (1932)
A good deal more advanced than “Red-Headed Baby” (1931), but perhaps Disney had already begun to rip off Warner Bros. by this point.
